Trust Hungary crafts a superior product by following each barrel
from forest to finish.
AMERICAN OAK
We select top quality, tight grain staves, that have been dried and aged in the open air for a minimum of two years. Three-year aged oak is available upon request. The fire-bent staves are slowly roasted over an oak fire. The toasting levels are light, medium, medium plus or heavy toast. We also offer toasted heads, logo and vintage laser, all available upon request.
HUNGARIAN OAK
Our oak is carefully selected from slow growing forests. We look for top quality, tight oak during the selection process. We use split staves and headings that have been dried and aged in the open air for a minimum of two years. Three-year aged oak is available upon request. The oak-fire-bent staves are slowly roasted over an oak fire. The toasting levels are light, medium, medium plus or heavy toast, with additional toasting levels available upon request. We also offer toasted heads, logo and vintage laser.
INGÉNIEUX
Trust’s Ingénieux barrel is our interpretation of France. Whilst we do not focus on any one forest region or specific grain profile, our barrel starts with oak from the center of France that is then shaped into a Blanc and Rouge option. A long seasoning regime and careful coopering provide an elegant barrel. Descriptors of the Blanc barrel include sweet vanilla, fruit forward, hazelnut, rich mouthfeel and long finish. Descriptors of the Rouge barrel include lifted fruit, lineal structure, mocha and a lingering finish.
PRESTIGE BARRELS
Since 2001 Trust has evaluated the enological profiles of different Hungarian forests. Our Prestige barrel program is derived from this decade long commitment to understanding Hungarian oak. Selected from a special area of Hungary this barrel is uniquely designed to enhance red varietals. The defining signature of this barrel includes dark fruit flavors, lineal tannins, structured, rich mouth feel and a long lingering finish.
